Our hunting camp includes heated cabins and home cooked meals. Your early arrival begins with all the provisions you could want. This includes riding & pack horses, pre-cut firewood and a thick foam sleeping cot. Your harvested game is expertly dressed and prepared for transport back to the trailhead. Any remote hunts will be on horseback to ensure your maximum comfort.

Red Feather offers inexpensive vacations that are filled with horseback riding, camping, fishing, and terrific scenery from June through August. It's outdoor enjoyment for the whole family. Ride a couple of hours into the most spectacular country you have ever seen. Camp next to high mountain lakes, where the trout fishing is excellent. During the day, part of the family can horseback ride while others fish.

A BULL MOOSE TAG
IS A ONCE IN A LIFETIME TAG!
In March of 1978, 12 moose were released into North Park and another 12 were added in January of 1979. The herd thrived and grew over the next 30 years. The first moose hunt was in 1985 and has continued successfully to this day.
Horses are always available for a hunt and ridden daily. Please be aware, however, that a considerable amount of walking is still required. Therefore it's best to be physically prepared for the requirements. Clients are responsible for license, processing of game, transportation to and from base lodge, and personal items.
ANYONE BORN AFTER JAN. 1ST., 1949 IS REQUIRED TO HAVE A HUNTER SAFETY CARD.

HORSEBACK RIDES
Our daily horseback rides originate out of the Colorado State Forest near Gould. We offer two-hour, half-day, and all-day rides. All riders must be at least 6 years old to participate. As part of the booking, we are required to know the rider's age, height, weight, and riding ability. We always do our best to match you with the best horse or mule for you. During inclement weather, we will reach out to you in order to reschedule your ride. Don't forget your camera!
Things to bring for all the rides:
- Lunch (for half-day and all-day rides) snacks, and something to drink.
- Rain gear (NO PONCHOS PLEASE). Let us know if you do not have rain gear. We will bring along extra.
- Sunscreen.
- Bring closed-toe shoes and wear long pants.
We provide an extensive seminar prior to horseback rides to ensure maximum comfort and safety.
The two-hour ride is best for young children or those just learning to ride.
The two-hour ride includes a guide and all riders must be at least 6 years old for any ride.
- Two-hour trip is $60 per person
- Half-day trip is $100 per person
- All-day trip is $200 per person.

CABIN RENTALS
Our cabins are all electrically heated. Our shower houses are separated by gender and include two showers in each house.
Cabin prices are $35.00 per person each night, plus 8.9% lodging and taxes.
YOUTH PACK TRIPS

Our Colorado Youth Horse Program has received such a positive response, we've now expanded it to entire groups!
- These trips have become quite popular! Most riders have previous experience with horses as well as participating at their summer camp horse program.
- During these trips, riders learn many valuable things, such as setting up a camp, caring for a horse, and building teamwork skills. Riders are encouraged to bring their own meals in order to keep the experience more cost effective.
- We relocate camp at least once, depending on our schedule. After a long day, the horses are turned out to graze and then put on a picket line for the night. In the early morning, guides turn out the horses (with assistance if anyone is awake). After breakfast, riders clean hooves, brush, saddle, and bridle the horses in preparation for the day's ride.
- Each day the riders will ride to a different lake or scenic view. Our horseback rides offer rewarding experiences after a long day of hard work!

Directions from DIA
Take I-70 west to the Winter Park-Berthoud Pass Exit: Hwy 40. Continue through Winter Park and on to Granby. You will take a right onto Hwy 125. Follow Hwy 125 for 32 miles to Rand. Just as you are coming into Rand, you will see a county road sign on your right pointing towards Gould. Take this right hand turn, and you'll drive 13 miles on a dirt road to a stop sign on Hwy 14. Take a left and we are 1 1/2 miles up the road on the left.
Directions from 1-25 North out of Denver
From I-25, take the 3rd. exit. Fort Collins exit, toward Hwy 14. Follow the signs to the Poudre Canyon. Follow Poudre Canyon approximately 70 miles and we are on the left hand side on Hwy 14 in Gould. *between mile marker 50 & 51 (Please do not confuse us with Red Feather Lakes, please continue on Hwy 14)
